Tasks
The key responsibilities and duties of the Electrician include:
- Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems in aircraft landing gear assemblies
- Fabrication of wire harnesses and mechanical sub-assemblies
- Repair or replace faulty wiring and other electrical components
- Diagnose electrical faults or failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to determine root causes of issues
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret requirements
- Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of electrical systems
- Maintain accurate paperwork and records of inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with MRO and regulatory documentation standards
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with aviation safety standards and regulations
- Adhere to company safety procedures and promote a safe working environment
- Work closely with other MRO technicians, engineers, and quality assurance teams
Requirements
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Diploma/‘A’ Level in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace apprenticeship (desirable)
- 2+ years aircraft build/production experience
- Maths & English GCSE (A–C or equivalent)
- Aerospace electrical experience: prototype, panel & aircraft wiring (essential)
- Familiar with aviation tooling & wiring techniques (Boeing SWPM/SOPM desirable)
- SAP knowledge (advantage)
- Awareness of quality/legislative standards (training provided)

Working Conditions
- Shifts: Mon–Fri [0600–1400 / 1400–2200], overtime possible
- Heavy component handling & computer work
