RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining and operating vacuum casting furnace as required to produce quality castings.
- Must perform all routine furnace maintenance functions.
- Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standards as established.
- Record all work performed and all necessary information on logs as prescribed on Standard Operating Procedure Requirements (SOP).
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Keep work area in a clean, orderly, and safe working condition and follow all safety rules.
- All training requirements must be met to be deemed a fully trained Vacuum Cast Technician I.
- Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical aptitude a must.
- Previous foundry experience a plus.
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills.
- Teamwork essential.
- Maintenance experience beneficial.
- Must have recent Foundry Utility certification.
- No Attendance warnings within the last year.
- No written Quality warnings within the last year.
- Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity (when required).
- Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
- Additional training to comply with applicable SOP/Certifications (when required).
- Must be willing to work on an off workweek.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
