Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing paperwork for orders through completion of bills of lading and manifests. Completes export customs paperwork as required. Audits packing lists and manifests to ensure orders are loaded and shipped correctly. Organizes and forwards shipping paperwork to Accounts Receivable for invoicing. Maintains department productivity and quality reports. Communicates as necessary with department personnel and freight carriers to ensure loads are picked up on time.Responsibilities
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Prepares bill of lading and manifest for outbound shipments. Audits manifests against individual packing list to ensure orders are accounted for and shipped as routed. 2. Prepares customs paperwork as necessary for international shipments. 3. Organizes and forwards shipping paperwork to Accounts Receivable for invoicing. 4. Communicates with customer service, export brokers, freight carrier personnel, truck drivers, and department personnel as necessary to coordinate outbound shipments. Schedules local delivery and pickup orders. 5. Prepares required labeling for loose case shipments. 6. Ensures air freight shipments are picked up on time and shipped as necessary. 7. Maintains department productivity and quality reports and forwards to appropriate management personnel. 8. Processes inbound and outbound freight claims as required. 9. Performs various miscellaneous tasks in the distribution center as assigned. 10. Uses computer, calculator for 10-key data entry, fax, printer, copy machine, and pallet jacks. 11. Keeps work area clean, orderly, and free of obstruction. 12. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company procedures and policies. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Required: High school education. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager. Competitive Compensation
- Hourly pay range for this role is $21.00 to $25.60, based on experience
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
