What you’ll be doing:
This role will support the HR Manager in providing expert professional advice and guidance to the relevant client area on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures; the management of complex employee relation cases and HR generalist best practice:
- Provide advice to managers and employees on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies to ensure consistency and fair application.
- To ensure relevant Line Management tools and guides are regularly updated and reviewed in line with statutory changes and changing business priorities 
- Provide advice and support for disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters and escalate issues as appropriate. 
- To track, monitor and analyse the causes of employee relations cases and identify and deliver interventions to reduce their re-occurrence.
- To support and deliver an ongoing programme of People Management training to line managers in order to improve the management of people issues within the business
- Maintain and update own knowledge of HR issues and employment legislation, ensuring that knowledge is shared and acted upon within the team and across the business.
- Support the recruitment process by advising line managers on the policy, the tools and supporting them in recruitment activities
- Delivering proactive pragmatic support, advising line managers in the correct implementation of all the easyJet policies and practices, including the disciplinary and grievance policies where required
- Keep abreast of local legislative changes and issues which are pertinent to our operations in country so as to act as internal advisor.  Use the above to ensure we apply pragmatic evaluation and solutions to emerging changes and ensure company documentation including the employee handbook is updated accordingly.
- Manage the annual employee lifecycle process, including contracting, onboarding and offboarding.
- Responsible for local monthly payroll mutations, review of payroll output and correct and timely payment of salaries.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions and requests from employees.
- Contribute to improving HR processes and procedures to increase efficiency and improve employee experience.
- Collaborate with various teams within the organization to support and coordinate HR initiatives.

Job Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the team:
Essential
- Previous experience in advising on complex Employee Relations activity in the Netherlands such as disciplinary and grievance management 
- Detailed working knowledge of Dutch employment law and applicable legislation, Dutch sickness processes
- At least 3 years of working experience in similar position within HR, with demonstrable experience in managing sickness absence and thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (such as the Gatekeeper Act, ARBO act and employment law provisions)
- Ability to influence and effectively build relationships with client group
- Experience of working within a fast pace, multi-site organisation in HR, working at all levels of the organisation and cross functionally.
- Ability to demonstrate and combine a methodical and organised approach to work situations with attention to detail. 
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures, identify issues and use initiative in providing innovative solutions.
- Must be able to speak, write, read and understand Dutch language on working professional level.

Desirable:
- Completed higher professional education in HRM, employment law or related field
- Experience with HR software for personnel administration, absence registration and other HR processes (Workday, Arboned)
- Previous experience in an international organisation
- Previous experience in working within an union environment

Location & Hours of Works
This full-time role will be based in Amsterdam and will be 40 hours per week. Hybrid working with 3-5 days in the office per week.
