Job Description:

Tasks

The Head of Cargo US Midwest and Canada is responsible for:

  • Ensures customer orientation to maintain a sustainable customer base
  • Fosters Swiss WorldCargo’s reputation for quality and reliability
  • Builds strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Selects, motivates, and develops management team and staff
  • Leads Business Intelligence efforts, providing spanet insights and proposing new products
  • Coordinates with Procurement to select efficient service providers and monitor quality
  • Achieves qualitative and quantitative targets in assigned territory
  • Executes regional and country strategies effectively
  • Reaches targets from Customer and Staff surveys
  • Takes decisions independently within assigned projects or tasks
  • Ensures safety, security, and SMS compliance in the region

Requirements

The ideal Head of Cargo US Midwest and Canada should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Proven experience in Senior Management
  • Proven industry experience, preferably in air cargo and/or logistics
  • Proven leadership experience in sales, product management, or spaneting
  • Leadership experience in multicultural and virtual teams
  • Professional experience of having worked abroad
  • Proven record of past successes and achievements
  • External industry experience is an asset
  • Customer- and solution-oriented attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adapts easily to diverse cultures and environments
  • Strong leadership with a collaborative mindset
  • High Emotional Intelligence, capable of handling conflicts and stress
  • Persistent, focused, and a team player
  • Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
