Position Summary

1. Ensure that any health and safety guidelines are followed in accordance with the EHS organisational arrangements roles and responsibilities, including maintaining (and improving were possible) 5S standards and ensuring the correct PPE is worn.

2. Following works orders (routing) instructions.

3. Interpret technical drawings

4. Selection of and loading CNC programs

5. General tidiness and good housekeeping

6. Following tooling and set up sheets to set sliding head CNC machines to machine components within the required tolerances and within the specified setting time.

7. Complete works orders in accordance with Kanban system ensuring any issues (e.g. material availability, quality issues, etc.) are reported immediately to line manager.

8. Undertaking in cycle deburring.

9. Change inserts, drills, etc, when and where appropriate.

10. Recording output and scrap accurately.

11. Dimensional inspection of components using inspection equipment. Completion of in process inspection

12. Ensuring tooling sheets and programs are kept up to date.

13. Able to identify alternative tooling solutions and raise ideas with cell leader.

14. Removal of burrs and sharp edges.

15. Recording output and scrap accurately.

16. Involvement in the High Performing Team (HPT).

17. Ensuring that the appropriate TPM is undertaken. – Routine maintenance
