NDT Quality Test Specialist

Contract Position

$30.28-$33.65/Hour

Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on aircraft structures and components using Eddy Current methods to detect cracks, corrosion, and other defects. Set up and operate specialized equipment, analyze results, and document findings in compliance with aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform setup, calibration, and operation of Eddy Current NDT equipment for bolt holes, corrosion/thickness, surface/subsurface defects, and conductivity testing.

• Develop and follow procedures, technique sheets, and test processes.

• Conduct inspections, collect data, and analyze results against quality requirements.

• Document findings in quality records/test reports and communicate results to stakeholders.

• Provide recommendations for corrective actions and identify adverse trends.

• Support certification preparation and training activities.

• Assist in the acceptance of aircraft repairs in compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years as an NDT Quality Test Specialist.

• Certification: Recent NDI Eddy Current certification (Level II preferred).

• Industry: Aviation/Aerospace experience required.

• Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

• Travel is Required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher.

• Level II NDI Eddy Current Certification

• Experience with ET MAUS and ET Low Frequency.

• Familiarity with FAA, DCMA, and Military inspection requirements.
