Network Technicians needed in Memphis, TN - Step Into the Future of Connectivity

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the technology industry to hire experienced Network Technicians to support projects in Memphis and surrounding areas. Role Summary
As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and low-voltage systems that keep businesses connected, secure, and operating efficiently. Your work will directly support reliable communication, surveillance, and access control systems across multiple job sites.
This role requires flexibility, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and structured cabling
Install and terminate cabling and jacks to industry standards
Test and certify cable installations using a Fluke Cat6A tester
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, hardware malfunctions, and performance bottlenecks
Install and configure Axis IP cameras
Install Algo IP paging horns and speakers
Perform access control installations including electric strikes, card readers, motion detectors, and door contacts
Provide technical support and resolve network-related issues on-site
Travel to job sites in Memphis and potentially out of town as needed
Adapt to varying start times depending on project location and schedule
Phone interviews will be conducted for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience as a Data or Network Technician
Strong experience with structured cabling installation and termination
Proven troubleshooting skills in network environments
Proficiency using a Fluke Cat6A tester
Experience installing IP cameras and IP-based paging systems
Hands-on access control installation experience
Ability to work flexible hours and travel when required
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial low-voltage environments
Understanding of network security best practices
Ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining high standards

Pay Details: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
