Role: Principal Cyber Architect
Are you ready to lead from the forefront of cyber security innovation in the aviation industry? As a Principal Cyber Architect at British Airways, youll be instrumental in shaping and executing cutting-edge cyber security strategies. Collaborate closely with BA Tech Delivery Teams, the BA Cyber Team, and the International Airline Group Cyber Security Office to fortify our operations against emerging threats and ensure resilience in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Set Strategic Direction: Develop and implement game-changing strategies that redefine cyber security at British Airways.
- Security Design Leadership: Champion and justify robust security designs across diverse projects and technologies.
- Innovative Solutions: Research and implement groundbreaking security architectures, effectively communicating your visionary decisions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across BA and International Airline Group departments.
- Architectural Design: Design and review complex system architectures, crafting reference models and guiding principles.
- Domain Expertise: Take ownership of critical cyber capability domains within our organization.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with BA’s Cyber Assurance and agile product teams to drive collective success.
- Governance Representation: Represent BA Cyber architecture on key technical governance groups.
- Strategy Contribution: Shape BA’s enterprise cyber architecture strategy and steer its future roadmap.
- Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of emerging security technologies, threats, and best practices.
- Security Enhancements: Evaluate and recommend proactive security measures to meet evolving risks and industry standards.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- Skills/Capabilities: Expertise in high-complexity security concepts, adept at stakeholder management, and skilled in producing and reviewing technical cyber design resources.
- Core Traits: Proactive, collaborative, and innovative, ready to adapt to a changing threat landscape and excel in complex environments.
- Your Experience: Essential cyber architecture qualifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF) preferred. Hands-on cyber design/architecture experience in large enterprises. Proficiency in Agile methodologies; familiarity with aviation systems is advantageous.
