Position Summary

The Pilot is responsible to provide superior airborne intelligence collection with a continued safety record second to none on each and every flight. The Pilot is the face of MAG providing not only technically accurate and safe aircraft operations but also providing an exceptional service experience for Prime and End User. The Pilot is always in full command of the aircraft and must always maintain a professional demeanor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

The SIC Pilot shall:

  • Ensure safe, effective, and efficient flight operations
  • Identification of aircraft maintenance faults
  • Ensure safety of flight documentation is completed per applicable program and FAA standards.
  • Conduct pre-flight planning, aircraft pre-flight check, coordinate with Airborne Sensor Operators and Mission Commanders
  • Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, other air traffic, and aircraft systems.
  • Coordinate flights with appropriate Fixed Base Operators, military range control, Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities.
  • Operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated turbo-prop aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations/aircraft publications/and local procedures.
  • Fly day/night/VMC/IMC
  • Maintain currency requirements IAW FAR 61.57 and local procedures
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Required Skills: (skills a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)

  • FAA Commercial Mulit-Engine Land / Instrument Rated
  • 2nd class FAA medical
  • Flight Hours:
  • 200 hours Total Time (any airframe)
  • 150 hours PIC (any airframe)
  • Multi-Engine rating
  • Experience similar operation (i.e. ISR, survey)
  • Preferred Skills: (skills that are not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)

    • Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.
    • B300 type rating.
    • Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM area of operations.
    • Radio Telephone Operators Permit.

    Preferred Education / Certification / Experience: (education that is not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

    Location:

    • Multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.
    • Possibly austere and primitive location(s).

    Security Clearance:

    • Must possess an active Secret security/TS preferred.

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

    • Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen.
    • Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.
