Project Management Officer

27.21 - 36 per hour

Morson are currently recruiting for project management professionals to support the development of wings and accompanying systems for one of our prestigious aerospace clients. You will support 2 key projects delivering Propulsion attachment concepts and a digital transformation research project. We’re ideally looking for candidates with experience of working within an agile digital environment or experience of novel research programmes

The team support the development new ways to build wings and their relative performance merits.  We’re recruiting for this role on a contract basis, with an expectation of 3 days a week working on site in Filton. There is possibility of extension or permanent conversion at a rate of 27.21 per hour PAYE or 36 per hour Umbrella.

Responsibilities

• Managing project integration and general progress reviews and updates
• Align progress with financial controls so the two are aligned for reporting
• Preparation and manage enablement with external suppliers - progressing quality reports and ensuring timely delivery along .
• Ensure total quality control of processes

Essential

• Previous experience in a project management environment
• An ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
• Use of planning tools in an agile environment
• Risk management experience and implementing mitigation tactics
• Experience producing KPIs and metrics
• Experience in a high level engineering industry
• Be comfortable planning and running workshops

Desirable

• Experience in the aerospace industry
• Worked in Agile and Waterfall environments
• Experience within a research and development environment
• Confident with multi-disciplinary teams
• Technical background
• Experience with Digital applications and software development would be a plus
• Experience within a research and technology environment

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
