MIDAS SOFTWARE ENGINEER – CONTRACT 12 MONTHS – WARTON Nr Preston

Hybrid Working 2/3 days on site per week.

Supporting the design & development of the MIDAS Mission Management system for the next generation of military platforms across Air, Land and Sea. This will entail working within an Agile framework and utilising model-based system engineering techniques to create the MIDAS product.

As a MIDAS Software Engineer, you will be responsible to the MIDAS Software Group Lead to support the development of Software Design, Code and Test required to support

• Support the engineering planning activities
• Liaise with MIDAS Systems & Test Engineers
• Software Design
• Software Code (C++/Misra C++)
• Software Test
• Safety & Security

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU / SKILLS & PROVEN ABILITY

• Ability with integration within a delivery programme for Systems and Software.
• Knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle and associated governance.
• Knowledge or awareness of Model Based Engineering tools (Cameo).
• Requirements Management (DOORS)
• System Definition (SysML / CAMEO)
• Data Modelling
• System/Software (SysML / UML)
• Software Coding (C++/Misra C++)
• Auto Code Generation

DESIRABLES

• Awareness of or have used Agile methodology supported by the Atlassian toolset would be advantageous.
• History in mission management and autonomy fields is advantageous.
