As a Scrum Master you will empower Agile teams to achieve their full potential by removing impediments, facilitating effective Scrum practices, and fostering a collaborative environment where continuous improvement thrives.
Leverage your expertise as a SAFe ART Scrum Master within our Public Safety sector. You&39;ll lead a dynamic team, fostering Agile practices and contributing directly to critical initiatives where your skills make the difference.
Your specific tasks include:Facilitate Core Agile Processes: Guide teams in effectively implementing and continuously refining Scrum practices, including facilitating all key ceremonies like Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and resolve obstacles and blockers that hinder the team&39;s progress, ensuring smooth workflow.
Drive Performance & Continuous Improvement: Master performance metrics (e.g., velocity, lead time, quality) to identify bottlenecks, foster a culture of transparency, and guide teams towards becoming high-performing units.
Orchestrate Cross-Team Collaboration: Enable seamless communication and collaboration within your team and across the broader Agile Release Train, ensuring alignment and supporting key planning and review events.
Support Product Ownership: Partner with the Product Owner to effectively manage and prioritize the team&39;s backlog and craft clear, valuable user stories.
Promote Quality & Agile Engineering: Advocate for robust Agile engineering practices (e.g., continuous integration, automation) and ensure adherence to core Agile principles for iterative and incremental delivery.
Serve as a Leader & Problem Solver: Act as a dedicated servant leader, empowering the team to achieve its goals, facilitating constructive problem-solving and conflict resolution, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Skills required:Ability to effectively facilitate Scrum ceremonies, encourage participation, and promote collaboration, leading to improved team velocity and predictable sprint delivery. Proven track record of coaching team members and stakeholders in adopting Agile principles and practices.
Servant Leadership: Demonstrating servant leadership by supporting and empowering the team, proactively removing obstacles, and facilitating their self-organization and decision-making process
Conflict Resolution: Identify and address conflicts within the team or between stakeholders, promote open communication and find collaborative solutions to minimize project delays and maintain team morale and productivity.
Emotional Intelligence: Possessing high empathy, a deep understanding of team dynamics, and the ability to navigate and manage emotions in challenging situations to foster a positive work environment. Successfully building rapport and trust with team members and stakeholders.
Driving Technological Adoption: Adept at identifying and driving the utilization of the latest efficiency-enhancing technologies and practices to optimize team and ART performance, resulting in measurable improvements in delivery speed, code quality, and overall operational effectiveness.
Your technology background can vary, and you can bring your expertise to the team. We are particularly interested in candidates who can leverage experience in:
Mobile Native Application Development (Android, iOS): Expertise in the full lifecycle of mobile apps, encompassing UI/UX, secure deployment pipelines (app stores, MDM), offline capabilities, and ensuring the critical reliability needed.
Artificial Intelligence (AI): A foundational understanding of AI/Machine Learning development lifecycles, data requirements, and model governance. We require a forward thinking approach and attitude on how the AI will change how the Agile teams work and how your role is changing in coming years.
Software Test Automation: A strong grasp of various test automation frameworks and the ability to champion high test coverage, built-in quality, and efficient continuous delivery for complex public safety solutions.
DevOps: Knowledge of principles like Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, infrastructure as code, and robust release management.
