PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the technology industry to hire an experienced Security Technician ready to take ownership of advanced electronic security installations across the Tupelo region.

Role Summary
As a Security Technician, you will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced electronic security systems for commercial clients. Your work will directly safeguard facilities, people, and critical infrastructure throughout the Tupelo area (within a 60-mile radius).
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who brings both technical expertise and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Installation & System Setup
Install and wire surveillance cameras, motion sensors, keypads, control panels, and alarm systems.
Install and configure Axis IP cameras.
Install Algo IP paging horns and speakers.
Perform structured cabling installations, including termination of jacks.
Test and certify cabling using a Fluke Cat6A tester.
Install and configure access control systems, including:
Electric strikes
Card readers
Motion detectors
Door contacts
System Configuration & Programming
Program IP cameras, card readers, and intrusion detection systems.
Configure access control and surveillance software.
Ensure systems are secure, optimized, and fully operational.
Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve system issues such as false alarms, connectivity problems, hardware failures, and wiring faults.
Provide on-site customer training on system operation.
Deliver responsive troubleshooting support, including occasional after-hours emergency assistance.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure installations meet safety codes and compliance standards.
Maintain organized and secure documentation for all projects.
Follow best practices for job site safety and data security.
Project Details
Report to Tupelo-area sites within a 60-mile radius.
Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (may vary by job site).
Phone interview required.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Security Technician or in electronic security installation.
Strong experience with:
Structured cabling installation and termination
Troubleshooting electronic security systems
Fluke Cat6A testing equipment
Experience installing Axis IP cameras and Algo IP paging systems.
Proven access control installation experience (electric strikes, card readers, motion detectors, door contacts).
Strong electrical and wiring knowledge.
Ability to work independently and manage job site responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial security system integrations.
Knowledge of intrusion detection software and system programming.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
