Position Summary
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines and performs assigned secondary operations.
Responsibilities
- Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools and, CNC machines and Cam driven Bar Machines.
- Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
- Change offsets on CNC Machines.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Utilize precision instrumentation and gages to verify product quality and integrity.
- Move completed parts per standard work processes.
- Complete appropriate documentation to track production and quality outputs.
- Operate equipment used to complete the secondary operations EX: Everlube/Sandblaster/Barrel Finisher
- Boxing completed parts to prevent damage
- Move parts from one operation to next EX: Chip Shake/Parts Washer
- Replenish warehouse with component parts as needed
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six months of on-site training as a machine operator, 12 months of machinist training from a Parker approved training program, or 3 years of related work experience as a machinist
