Shipper and Parts Coordinator T4 (Full Time)

Summary
Perform a variety of part picking/shipper/packer duties including pick parts for foreign and domestic customer AOG special purchase orders; research problems on conflicting part numbers; provide up-to-date shortage lists for items required for aircraft kits; receive, store, and distribute material, equipment, and products from foreign and domestic customers, and process each part for rework or scrap; unload/load trucks; check goods; inspect, count, move material; store, package, and perform record-keeping. Process all outbound freight and materials. Accurately use acquired knowledge of international shipping and /or hazardous materials paperwork to maintain an uninterrupted flow of production. Use material-handling equipment such as forklift, truck, skids, hand tools, and weight scales. Work independently or with minimal direction from Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work from and follow requisitions, work orders, travelers, station paperwork, customer and shipping orders, packing slips, designated lists, schedules, bills of lading, invoices, and verbal/written instruction to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
Move materials from specified location to shipping dock.
Count, check, verify, pack, weigh, and label materials.
Meter shop on UPS/Federal Express shipping systems.
Load or assist loading trucks.
Pack and ship hazardous materials according to specifications.
Complete and process all documentation.
Maintain outside container with adequate materials.
Pull parts to complete short shipments.
Perform receiving and stocking activities in the warehouse.
Operate mail machine.
Sort mail.
Maintain necessary records and reports.
Read all pertinent paperwork to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Record amount of materials or items received or distributed.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
Fill requisitions, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distribute items as required.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets and convey orders to packing and shipping.
Mark materials with identifying information.
Note shortage and/or partial shipment and insert pick card in container or bundle.
Submit completed foreign pick to inspection
Weigh or count items for shipment to ensure conformance to company standards.
Use computer to enter records.
May use forklift to transport items to pick up areas for shipment.
Complete requisition forms to order supplies
Scrutinize every facet of job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Team Leader.
Requires the use of and ownership of basic tools and various hand tools as specified by departmental tool list.
Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education and Experience
Requires the use of acquired knowledge, high school diploma or GED, and one to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform the duties of the job applying basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
May require forklift certification. May require Hazardous Shipping Material shipping certificate.
