Job overview and responsibilities
The Senior Analyst - Catering Policy & Procedures, Investigations & Auditing continuously improves the Catering SMS program and related safety and security systems. This role supports the maintenance and revisions of the Catering Operations Business Manual and serves as an expert on Catering policies and procedures related to safety and security. This role conducts investigations into Catering safety and security related incidents and assists corporate and cross-departmental investigations. Additionally, this role conducts audits to measure and report out on compliance to policies, procedures, and standard work, while calibrating audits with other departments and service providers. Also, this role provides training internal/external training and focused communication on United’s policy and procedures and best practices.
- Serves as subject matter expert for Catering Operations Business Manual (COBM) and responsible for making and communicating updates (FSMs) and revisions, while also being well versed on other corporate safety (CSMSM) and security (AOSSP) manuals
- Responsible for conducting safety and security investigations to determine root cause of defects while identifying corrective actions, and when appropriate, leading cross-departmental discussions and leveraging SMS investigative tools (Sologic)
- Responsible for consistently and efficiently completing a quota of safety and security audits (CCTV, in-person planeside, kitchen), while also communicating key real-time results to internal/external stakeholders and calibrating audit programs and audit results for quality assurance
- Identifies non-compliance and risks through investigations, audits, and station/kitchen visits and issues notification (HIs, CAPAs) to service providers and/or local parties to develop, implement, and provide evidence of successful corrective action plans
- Provides training and materials/communications on safety and security polices, SMS tools (Sologic/SRAs), processes (investigations/audits), and best practices
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelors degree
- Operational safety training & SMS training
- Catering Security Agent & Truck Seal Verification training
- Two years operational experience in catering operations, or inflight/airport operations
- Must possess strong planning and organizational skills, along with strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven track record to work independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and decision-making capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $103,966.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
