About Digital Business Development and Consulting Team

As a Senior Product Owner, you will be an important member of the Digital Business Development and Consulting team at WestJet. We are the go-to advisors and delivery members for trialing new digital solutions within WestJet. Our work will touch many different domains like operations, guest experience, and commercial processes.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead the strategic development and delivery of key products that align with WestJet’s business goals. This role requires a strong understanding of business strategy, stakeholder management, and product lifecycle leadership, as well as the ability to work across functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
· Business-Centric Approach: Ensure all product initiatives align with strategic objectives and drive business value.
· Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and incorporate feedback.
· Project Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle, ensuring projects meet objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
· Effective Communication: Clearly communicate product vision and strategy to cross-functional teams, driving alignment and shared understanding.
· Data Analysis and Storytelling: Use data insights to inform product decisions, track performance, and present findings in a compelling way to leadership and stakeholders.
· Team Leadership: Lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment, fostering collaboration and ensuring smooth project execution.
· Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Identify and resolve challenges quickly, adapting to shifting priorities as necessary.
· Technical Acumen: Translate business needs into technical requirements, working closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
· 5+ years of experience in product ownership, consulting or management, preferably in a tech-driven environment.
· Proven track record of delivering product initiatives that create business impact.
· Strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills.
