Job Description:

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Supervisor - Quality is responsible for overseeing day-to-day Quality operations, overseeing all Quality Control driven procedures, standards, and requirements, overseeing the inspection of facility maintenance, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment procedures and maintaining direct communication with all FAA representatives.

This position maintains active AS9100D QMS oversight and AS9102 inspection requirements as required by our Industrialization business.

Job Requirements:
  • Monitor Quality activities to ensure continual compliance
  • Interact and communicate with Maintenance Inspectors and customer Quality personnel, FAA and AS9100D personnel as needed
  • Assist in the work processes and coordinate with multiple departments to promote efficiency and completing jobs on time
  • Assist in coordinating Quality Control concerns between multiple departments
  • Assist technicians with technical and or regulatory concerns
  • Assist with other processes / procedures to help ensure all required paperwork is completed in a professional, accurate and timely manner
  • Assist with budgetary requirements, development, achievement, re-planning and otherwise as applicable
  • Help maintain open lines of communication between technicians, lead techs, departments, and other inspectors
  • Help with solutions that ensure customers have received results that “Exceed their expectations,” but also meet all regulatory items
  • Research aircraft maintenance records as required to meet customer interior refurbishment and industrial requirements
  • Assist in Quality decisions based on customer work scopes, sound principles, good judgment, and high standards for the aviation industry
  • Monitor QMS activities to ensure compliance with our manuals and any applicable FAA Regulations and those of other regulatory bodies as applicable and worker safety concerns
  • Help coordinate the scheduling of Quality matters with all departments involved
  • Discuss issues with regulatory personnel, manufacturers’ representatives, and or DAR’s as necessary for technical guidance, clarification of issues, determinations of airworthiness, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of major Repair and Alteration forms, FAA Field Approvals, 8130-3 forms, all QMS paperwork, and other required paperwork as necessary
  • Review work order discrepancy sheets on assigned aircraft for correct detail and timely completion
  • Prepare maintenance record entries for assigned aircraft
  • Perform inspection of various interior and industrial actions
  • Perform regular in-progress and final inspections
  • Perform final reviews of completed work orders for accuracy and completion of all required data and signatures
  • Perform final release procedures of projects and CofC issuance
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns with respect to quality control issues and or decisions
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars and reviewing product trade publications
  • Other Duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations pertinent to Repair Station operations, to include 14CFR Parts 1, 21, 23, 39, 43, 91, 135, and 145
  • Excellent familiarity with a wide variety of aircraft maintenance operations that preferably include interior and paint operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Computer literate, using MS Word and Excel, and Internet usage
  • Knowledge of computer systems, Corridor, AMSTAT, CAMP, STARS, CESSCOM, etc.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Minimum ten years experience in maintaining piston and turbine-powered aircraft
  • Previous experience as a lead technician
  • A&P Preferred
Salary Range: $35-$45
