Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Surface Processor is responsible for preparing parts for subsequent processing by dipping them into chemicals to protect the base metal from corrosion in the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate in one of the following areas: automated line, manual plating line, chromate/sandblast line, or tumble/Alodine line.
  2. Set up workstations following c-specs book guidelines and labels by adding the appropriate chemicals to tanks.
  3. Review PRT tags, work orders, or routers for instructions on preparing parts for the next process.
  4. Execute processes such as etching, baking, anodizing, tumbling, or plating the parts as per instructions.
  5. Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  6. Adhere to all environmental safety practices and regulations, including reading and understanding all SDS documentation and chemical labeling/storage requirements.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 months in a similar role.

Skills:

  • Ability to balance figures.
  • Capability to prepare work orders accurately.
  • Proficiency in inputting data into computer programs.
  • Competence in performing visual inspections.
  • Ability to read and understand c-specs.
  • Familiarity with computer software for the Autoline.
  • Possession of forklift driving certification may be required.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment such as x-ray machines, micrometers, auto lines, manual lines, hoists, ship separators, spin dryers, and tumblers.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Supervision Level:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

3rd Shift Hours:

  • 9:30pm - 5:30am

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.50 to $24.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
