Airbus Flight Instructor / Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (Ab Initio) & Project Manager Position - Dublin, Ireland
Contract Type: Permanent contract employed with Airbus Flight Resource Services
The company provides personnel resourcing, contracting, training and advisory services and is integrated as part of Airbus Training & Flight Operations Services. AFRS provides services to Airbus SAS and the core strength of the business is a dynamic team that provides flexible, agile and cost effective services in resourcing, contracting and recruitment for Training Services together with a team of personnel who are supporting the development of advanced aviation training and simulation who work as part of Airbus Simulation & Training Solutions.
Description of the job:
Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Represent and act on behalf of the Head of Training within the ab initio Flight Academy(s)
• Develop with customers dedicated MPL Course
• Provide update to existing ab initio training programs & courseware
• Manage dedicated projects within flight training, from project creation to deployment
• Provide effective oversight and proactive management of MPL programs and Airbus Flight Academy Program
• Identify and advise the worldwide Head of Training on emerging issues and opportunities for training program enhancement
• Responsible for controlling resources and/ or policy creation in their area of responsibility
• Coordinate with local Airbus Flight Academy Postholders and staff to identify operational needs and liaise with the Head of Training and/or other departments as needed to help satisfy those needs
• Identify and propagate best practices, assess the impact of proposed changes, and facilitate change within the Airbus Flight Academy
• Monitor and maintain appropriate operational data to help guide business decisions
• Monitor, review, and act upon applicable regulatory, customer, and other external guidance related to Airbus Flight Academy training program content and delivery
• Facilitate and assist in the implementation of Airbus instructor standardization policies across local programs
• Monitor the quality of training delivery and take or direct action to correct any existing or potential discrepancies or deficiencies
• Coordinate with the Standards, Compliance and Regulatory departments to assist in maintaining local alignment with the Airbus Network
• Provide guidance and assistance in the development and implementation of new training programs
• Maintain Airbus Flight Instructors qualifications
• Maintain an activity in client training
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Training Customer Relations • Review and follow up on customer satisfaction surveys other feedback and, when required, act to ensure that local training delivery meets or exceeds customer and client expectations
• Develop and maintain close relationships with key customers, authorities and clients
• Maintain a concentrated customer/client orientation, often under adverse circumstances
Candidate Profile
Professional Experience Extensive experience (min 5 years) in Airbus flight instruction or equivalent.
Have working knowledge of applicable national aviation authority organisation(s) and regulations.
Have developed relationships with local authorities & have proven experience in Project Management.
Have interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Possess verbal and written communication abilities in English and one other language preferably.
Demonstrate proficient computer skills
Have the ability to focus and work in a complex environment
Be readily accepting of change and able to adjust accordingly
Have the ability to make decisions and solve complex problems unsupervised within scope of responsibility
Education Requirements
Field Flight Training Level
Hold or have held at least an EASA theoretical ATPL
Previous ab initio Instructor (at least theoretical) and post holder in ATO delivering ATPL or MPL courses
Knowledge & experience of CBTA / EBT Program development (ISD) Other
Education Details
Project Management qualifications appreciated
Language skills English CEFR C2 or equivalent Other language B2 (particularly French is a plus)
