Location: Cambridge (onsite delivery with hybrid working for preparation and development)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: 38 Umbrella / 27.50 PAYE (flexible for the right candidate)

This opportunity supports a significant C-130 training programme within a well-established aerospace environment in Cambridge. With a substantial body of work secured, this is a team built on consistency, capability, and delivery.
You’ll be delivering technical training onsite, with the added benefit of hybrid working when it comes to course preparation, development, and planning — offering a more balanced and considered working rhythm.
Working within a capable, close-knit training team, you’ll support learners ranging from apprentices through to experienced engineers, all within a structured and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver B1 (Airframe/Propulsion) technical training across classroom and workshop environments
- Own the quality and success of training delivery
- Adapt training methods to suit varying learning styles and experience levels
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, presentations, and assessments
- Support development of new training products and capabilities
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements
- Maintain a safe, structured, and effective learning environment
- Monitor and maintain personal Continuous Professional Development
Requirements
Experience:
- Background in an MRO environment (A–D checks or line maintenance)
- Experience delivering technical training and/or developing training materials
- Competence assessment and apprentice support experience
- Hands-on C-130 or L100 Airframe and/or Propulsion experience
Technical:
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems and technical data (Part 66 B1)
- Ability to interpret and teach from engineering drawings and schematics
- Confident using Microsoft Office and eLearning platforms
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Apprenticeship in Aviation Maintenance (or equivalent experience)
- Level 3 Teaching/Instructional qualification
- Mandatory regulatory training (HF, FTS, EWIS)
- Assessor qualification (TAQA) desirable
