🛠️ Tool & Die Maker
We’re looking for a skilled Tool & Die Maker to help build and modify tools and fixtures used in aircraft part manufacturing. You’ll work with metal, use machining equipment, and follow engineering blueprints to create precise tools that support production.
What Youll Do
- Use shop tools like mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and saws.
- Build and modify tooling and fixtures based on mechanical blueprints.
- Use measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy.
- Reverse engineer existing tooling and read engineering drawings.
- Work with sheet metal and lift heavy materials.
- Stand for long periods while working.
- Take on extra tasks with little supervision.
What Youll Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in manual tool and fixture fabrication
- Ability to read blueprints, do shop math, and reverse engineer tooling
- Skilled in machining metals and alloys
- Must be a U.S. Person or permanent resident and eligible to work with export-controlled materials under U.S. law
Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Own tools for the job
- AWS welding certification
- Experience with plaster tool fabrication
- Familiarity with ASI standards
