SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for inventory management, as well as unloading and loading trailers and transport materials of product to or from the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- With the use of a CDL License, move trailers to and from dock doors for loading and unloading
- Unload / load materials and products from trailers to the warehouse or onto trucks.
- Pull material / products from racks and transport to production or loading dock.
- Must be able to safely operate stand up and sit-down forklifts to transport, stack, and load material.
- Assure accurate counts of material being loaded or unloaded and perform periodic cycle count inventories
- Perform bar code transactions for product movement and inventory.
- Must know all the required shipping paperwork.
- Initiates sign-off procedure for incoming damaged product
- Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers

Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
- Participate on project teams, star point teams and kaizen events when needed.
- Attend and participate in all training opportunities required to develop in the role
Responsibilities
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/ SCOPE:
- Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
- Work closely with other departments to resolve issues with the processes & equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may be subject to:
- High noise levels from operating machines and equipment
- Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels
- Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, high visibility clothing)
- Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
- Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
- Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime
The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: | High School diploma or GED preferred |
Experience: | Previous experience in manufacturing preferred |
Preferred Skills/ Qualifications: | - CDL highly preferred
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Sound decision making skills
- Good math, reading and writing skills
- Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
