The salary range for this position is $36.00 to $39.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Senior Painter is responsible for coordinating shift start-ups, managing workstation assignments, and training and mentoring new employees. This role requires active participation in production processes while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prioritizing staff workload to maintain an effective and efficient work environment.
• Supervising, training, and coaching employees to ensure skill development and performance improvement.
• Developing team morale by addressing and mitigating negative attitudes.
• Maintaining a safe workplace by adhering to and enforcing safety protocols and best practices.
• Operating required equipment safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and teamwork in achieving organizational goals.
• Ensuring process excellence through accurate, efficient, and proper execution of painting procedures.
• Communicating effectively with leadership, team members, and other departments.
• Identifying the necessary tools and equipment for various tasks.
• Controlling the operations of painting equipment to achieve desired results.
• Inspecting and evaluating surface finishes for quality assurance.
• Operating tools and machinery within standard operational procedures.
• Isolating painted and unpainted areas through masking and other preparation techniques.
• Performing precise, coordinated movements with hands, fingers, and wrists for painting applications.
• Reading and comprehending technical documentation and written instructions.
• Ensuring all equipment and work areas remain clean, neat, and organized at all times.
• Keeping up to date with the latest painting techniques and industry best practices.
• Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and actively participating in accident prevention initiatives.
• Performing additional job-related duties as assigned.

• Proven experience in aerospace painting or a related field.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and equipment operations.
