POSITION SUMMARY:
Using technical and communication skills, and as a team player, the Pilot is responsible for operating the helicopter in a safe, efficient manner. Pilots will be qualified in the Airbus H125 and H130.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- 2,500 hours of total flight time (dept tracks)
- 2,000 hours helicopter flight time (dept tracks)
- 1,000 hours turbine powered helicopters (dept tracks)
- 100 hours night unaided in helicopters (dept tracks)
- 100 hours mountain flying experience in helicopters (dept tracks)
- Instrument helicopter rating (dept tracks)
- Must meet physical requirements per the Enloe Flight Crew Weight Limitations policy
Desired:
- 50 hours in Enloe’s make and model of helicopter or has successfully completed the manufactures recommended ground and flight school
- NVG experience
- EMS and FAR 135 flight experience
- Local area knowledge (operating in local area)
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current FAA Commercial Instrument or ATP Helicopter Pilot’s Certificate
- First or Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
- Current California Driver’s License
- Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Demonstrates technical competence, sound operational judgment and leadership capabilities.
- Possesses communication skills necessary to effectively work with medical crew, communications center, and public service personnel as well as the general public.
- Motivated to maintain and improve the quality and image of Enloe FlightCare and Enloe Medical Center.
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
