- Valid and current FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter License
- 2,000 hours RW PIC of which 50 hours in Bell 407 aircraft
- 300 hours of sling time with 100’ or 150’ line
- Meet USFS Pilot carding requirements and 2025 interagency carding requirements
- Previously OAS carded in Bell 407 aircraft
- Medical Class 1 or 2 (current)
- Current Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Prepared to travel within the operational region
- Must pass a DOT drug test
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Human External Cargo (HEC) experience in powerline work or short-haul missions
- Currently, OAS carded in Bell 407 aircraft
- Current interagency card
- Low Level & Recon
- Mountain Terrain
Employment Status: W2 (Non-Exempt), Temporary/Seasonal
Daily Rate: $550.00-$700.00 per day DOE. This is a daily rate position. The hourly wage for this position is based on the state-required minimum wage. The daily rate meets and exceeds the overtime regulations, based upon the minimum wage requirement.
Flight Hour Pay: $50.00 per hour

Schedule:
This position is temporary/seasonal and will be stationed in Northern California, operating a Bell 407 for a USFS Short-Haul contract from mid-May through mid-October (150 days). The Precision Long-Line Pilot will be required to work varied shifts, flying typically 3-5 days per week, depending on mission requirements, weekends are usually taken off. There is a potential for full-time employment post-season.
