Job Title

Regional Sales Manager/Pilot

• Conduct direct sales/lead capture of New & Pre-owned Piper Aircraft in assigned region

• Provide input and recommendation for helping establish annual and long-term sales and spaneting strategies designed to guide the department toward accomplishment of company goals

• Analyze spanet trends affecting aircraft sales and inventory levels and conduct demographic studies to establish future spanet potential in sales territory

• Establish and maintain contractual agreements and appropriate policies and procedures for the conduct of business within territory

• Develop sales forecasts and aircraft commitments

• Analyze new products or business opportunities and make appropriate recommendations

• Work with Sales leadership to prepare sales presentations for individuals and/or organizations

• Maintain familiarity with general aviation product developments and competitor activities

• Attend and represent Piper at appropriate aviation trade shows

• Pilot duties to include (not limited to): Delivery acceptance, Customer Demonstration, Corporate transportation, Return to service – post maintenance flights.

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Position Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

Education and Experience

BS/BA in Aviation Business or relevant field is preferred, MBA a plus

Proven experience in aviation sales, spaneting, and corporate flight operations

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Computer office, analytical and sales CRM programs

Required Aviation Experience:

Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings 1000hrs TT

Familiarity with general aviation, personal and business use-case modeling

Physical Demands

Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform and accomplish tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Mental Demands

Ability to function in a high-paced, ambiguous work environment. Ability to shift priorities quickly

May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.

Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives

Travel and overtime are required when necessary
